UPVAN has a wide range of publications, which is managed, through a well-equipped library comprising about 1463 books on different social issues that could be accessed by UPVAN staff, members and visitors. Apart from general books there are few regular issues compiled & published by UPVAN supported by reports of all the programs sensitizing member organizations are prepared timely and disseminated for follow-up actions in their respective areas of operations.

Social Audit

The monitoring, evaluation and traditional audit could not be effective due to their closed-door proceedings in a formal manner. This process could neither hold the wrongdoers responsible nor it could provide feedback for the future formulation and execution of development works. On the other hand, due to lack of en-masse awareness the pressure could not be built up on policy makers. Hence, there arose the need of social audit

VASTA 

 VASTA is a quarterly brought out by UPVAN at the end of each quarter. Earlier on UPVAN used to bring out two seprate magazines i.e. Hamari Pairvi (quartely) and UPVAN Ki Batein (Bimonthly). From January 2008 UPVAN proposes to publish VASTA, which would cover the issues and contents dealt in both the magazines. VASTA – the acronym stands for Voluntary Associations’ Strength through advocacy is devoted to carrying out advocacy to the member’s issues with the stakeholders side by side with helping the members with useful information on effective governance of voluntary organization and serving the vulnerable sections of the society.

Status Of Uttar Pradesh Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme

While working on this scheme since its inception through base line survey, workshops and seminars and frequent deliberations with the district coordinators of "NERGA campaign" UPVAN demand it to proper to critically examine the status of Uttar Pradesh Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme. The study was conducted on sample method. Based on certain development indicators twelve District under UP NREGS were selected for detected study. From every district two blocks and from every block two gram Panchayats were selected.

Right To Information

This booklet is a brief summary about the activities conducted to generate mass awareness ON RTI Act 2005 by UPVAN for which national and regional level workshops were held at a large scale. The booklet also covers the details of all the volunteers trained under the campaign, which will be available both at the district as well as state level to help the commoners in solving their problems pertaining to RTI.
