Introduction
International
Women's Day
is celebrated throughout the world on March 8 every year.
It provides an opportunity to focus upon and remember
the struggle of women throughout the world. Its origin
can be traced to 8th March, 1857 when women garment workers
in New York demonstrated against working conditions.
International
Women's Day is the story of ordinary women as
makers of history; it is rooted in the centuries-old struggle
of women to participate in society on an equal footing
with men.
“The
origin of a child is a mother, a woman… She shows
a man what loving, caring and sharing is all about..”

This
Year also UPVAN celebrated Women's Day. This time
it
was decided that UPVAN will organize this event through
its member organizations in the state. It was also decided
that Member Organizations organized this Event in all
other districts of UP.

women in my life, as a mother, sister, friend, and peer…to
all known and unknown women’s.
